I have had the 6185 for a few months now and love it. It may not be as light and compact as the Motorola phones but the features on it will go beyond your expectations.
The best thing I like about it is that it not only rings but it vibrates as well when you get a call, like a pager. This feature has come in handy for me many times. It also comes with many different types of rings and you can program the phone to ring differently depending on who is calling (with caller ID).
The battery life is decent. I can go a couple of days without having to recharge it if it is not being used heavily. You can also buy a longer life (tho heavier) battery.
The screen is very readable and illuminated. The keys are not the easiest ones to press - but I've used worse.
Another nice feature is that it is dual-band so you can go analog in places where services like Sprint digital doesn't reach. Of course, you are going to pay more, so usually I will change the setting so I only can use it digitally. But in case of emergency it is always nice to have the option.
The colors are great and eye catching. I have the Sky color - and it is a shimmery iridescent purple blue. These are some of the best looking phones out there. There are also games on this phone but I don't recommend them, they do chew up battery time.
