Features:
Internet capable: The phone is WAP enabled. This means that it is possible (using only the phone) to connect to and browse Internet web pages and services. The system allows for text and VERY basic graphics. Web pages obviously have to be specially designed for the screen size of the phone so look for specifically WAP-enabled sites. The built-in modem connects reliably in most cases (sometimes the phone hangs though) and the built-in browser performs well. The software may be upgraded to solve some of the problems.
The navi-roller: The roll-and-scroll button makes it easy to navigate menus and text while using the phone as well as while browsing WAP-pages. However, I still prefer using up and down arrow buttons for this as it is easier to reach a menu alternative by pushing a button than by scrolling.
Intelligent vocabulary: This is a system for anticipating words when writing short messages (SMS) or notes in the calendar. You type the keys you need and the system suggests the most likely word. This system is really useful.
Other: The phone has a keyboard cover that slides out when you press a button on the back. The keys are hard and click nicely with plenty of space for your fingers. The menu system is logical (following the same design as in other Nokia phones) but relatively sluggish. I like the profiles for receiving calls in different environments (short beep and vibrating signal in meeting mode for example) and the fact that you can easily set the current profile using the power button on the top of the phone.
Summary: A robust and practical phone that gives you access to services and information on the net. The quality is high as you expect from Nokia. It may not be the most exciting phone available (look at the new smaller 8800 and 8200 series for example) but it gets the job done.
