I have used the Nokia 7110 for some months now and have had suficient time to evaluate the product. I bought this product because it was the first WAP Phone on the market.
My main experience with this phone, is that it is very very buggy. The phone often locks - even only when I am using it just for speaking or browsing trough the phonebook. And when it comes to WAP surfing it is even worse. Normally the only solution when the phone freezes, is to take the battery out and insert it again. But that can be very irritating if you just want to make an important call. The memory allocated to text messages (SMS) is also to small - the phone gets full and you have to start deleting.
But there are a number of great things about this phone. First, the Navi-Rooller is a excellent way to navigate the phone. All phones should have this. Second, the phonebook stores a lot of information and also support vCards. You can also beam phonenumbers to other 7110-users via the built in IR-port. Third, the wap browser itself, when it works, is the best on the market right now. I also love the possibility to set the phone in "silent" mode - it just vibrates when you get incoming calls.
The phone is a bit expensive, but if you want a phone that can show you what WAP is all about, you should buy this. Because WAP today IS buggy.
