8860 vs 6160

I bought the 6160 the day it came out. I thought it was the best phone ever! I held off upgrading to the 8860 for several reasons:
1- Price
2- The battery doesn't last as long
3- I heard conflicting reports about reception quality
4- I didn't need a lipstick mirror
However, once my company changed its dress policy to casual, I no longer had a coat pocket to to put my phone. There was no way I was getting one of the cheesy belt clips. So I went for it.
Well folks, I gotta tell ya,... I am glad I did.
Here's why?
Battery Life:
The battery lasts plenty long; long enough to go away for a three day weekend. I bring the spare with my just in case because its so tiny.
Reception:
I have to admit, the reception seems a tiny bit weaker than the 6160 when you are in a bad area. However, when you are in an area where the service is decent, the sound is clearer than the 6160.
Size:
The size is perfect to put in your pants pocket.
Hidden Antenna:
Having the antenna out of the way is a big plus when you keep the phone on your pants pocket. (Pssst,... the antenna is in the back of the slider)
The Clock:
The time/date doesn't need to be reset when you change the battery.
Yeeeee Haaaaaa!
The Slider:
The slider is a very convenient way of hanging up the phone. It also makes it much easier to lock the keys. If feels cool too.
The Chrome Finish:
Although I don't use it to put lipstick on, the chrome finish comes in handy when you are out to dinner and want check for food in your teeth without anybody noticing.
Vibration:
Nuff Said.

As far as what I don't like about the phone:
It gets nasty finger prints all over it. There is no way to prevent it unless you wear gloves while using the phone.
I gets scratched too easily. Do not put it in the same pocket as your keys!!!
The keys are a little to small. I am getting used to them though. I can still kick butt in snake.

Recommendation:
If you love the 6160/6162 and want a smaller phone,... this is for you!
If you have a motorola startac and can't stand the crappy user interface,... this is the phone for you.
If a small phone is not a big consideration for you,.. this is NOT the phone for you.
If you want access to the internet from a phone,... don't get this phone.
If you are looking for a phone that will make you look cool:
Please don't get this phone,... you are a dork and you will make the rest of us look bad.
