| VTMom's Full Review: Nokia 918 Cell Phone |
Because of the winter roads in Vermont, I really wanted my husband to have a cell phone in case of an emergency, but I did not want to get stuck with monthly service fees. So when the Tracfone went on sale at our local dept. store for $29.99 with a $30 rebate, I snatched one up.
At first the additional phone cards, which must be purchased every two months or the you have to reactive your phone, seemed horribly expensive, but we found that buying the time directly over the internet with Tracfone and watching for their specials can be a real money saver. Recently, I purchased a 120 minute card for $29.99 plus you get another 60 minute card for free.
You can add the additional phone time online now, so there is no need to call and have to spend your time waiting to get connected to a customer service rep, or waiting for their automated system to go through all of its choices.
The Tracfone has become a very quick, easy way for us to have a cell phone in case of emergencies, but not have to gete tied in to monthly contracts and hassles.
