disartain's Full Review: Noodlehead Flexible Sprinkler
I planted a garden this year approx, 30x60 feet. I had three or four different sprayer attachments that fit my hose. All of them worked just not the way I wanted.
While I was browsing different garden web sites I saw the Noodlehead sprayer. I was thinking this is exactly what I need to get water to the hard areas of my garden.
I ordered it and it arrived in about two weeks. I was expecting it to be bigger then it was.
It weighed less then a pound and fit into my outstretched hand. The base is round. There are 12 little flexible tubes about 6 inches long jutting out of the base each tube has three holes in the top. The base has two holes for a hose to fit.
One hole is on the bottom and the other is on the side. It came with a cap to stop up the hole you are not using and a stake with threads on top that can screw to a opening in the Noodlehead.
I attached the stake to the bottom of the Noodlehead and put the hose in the side. I then played with the Noodles and put them where I wanted. It does take a little more then just putting into the position you want, as the Noodles want to come back to the original position. After working with them for a little while I had them where I wanted.
I turned on the hose and was really disappointed with the range that the water reached. It was less then I expected. I don't know if the water power I have is strong enough for it to reach across the garden like I wanted. You may have a different experience.
I did find two perfect uses for the Noodlehead. One was for the herb garden that I have on the side of my house. By adjusting the noodles I was able to point the water at the bottoms of the plants instead of watering the tops and wasting the water due to evaporation on a hot day.
The second and perfect use is spraying my toddlers and their cousins. They can adjust the noodles like they want and it is not spraying in there faces with force. The noodles can be set to a gentle enough stream of water that they can be soaked but not with a spray hard enough to hurt or get into there face unless they want it that way.
This Noodlehead is sturdy and should endure another summer or two with no problem.
The price that I paid for this little sprayer, around 16.00 has been worth every penny. The kids ask for this little sprayer all the time and all the water toys that I paid more money for is sitting in the yard going unused.
It did not serve the purpose I intended but the use we found for it is priceless. I would buy another if I had to.
