Pros: light, well made, holding up well after a few years of abuse

The Bottom Line: This bike is worth the price. Excellent product from a well established company.

| slovo's Full Review: Norco Magnum (1998) |
I bought a Norco Magnum and stripped off the front end parts (fork/shocks, shifters/brake levers, etc.) and replaced it with some used parts I bought, so I can only speak for the rest of the bike.
Everything has been running great (with proper maintenance of course). I have absolutely no complaints, and with the new parts, the bike weighs about 23 lbs which is nice and light, especially for the price.
Generally I was not a fan of Norcos. They seemed to focus more on low to mid end bikes and were okay but nothing spectacular. This bike has given me new-found respect for Norco. I've taken this bike through a 50 KM race (included technical single-track paths) and it did not let me down in the least.
I forget exactly how much I paid for the bike, since I'm writing this review 4 years later, so the amount paid is a relative guess.
Oh, I guess I have one complaint... When I ride for a long time my genitals get numb. The seat is alright but could be improved for sure. However, for that price I don't think one can expect such perfection, considering how the rest of the bike comes so close.
