My son uses Norcoms Checkered Composition Notebooks in school. He is in highschool and uses them for bell ringers and taking notes.  I like them because the paper does not have any perforations and is binded well into the book.  It is hard to lose papers from the notebook unless you tear them.

You are getting  100 sheets (200 pages) of Wide ruled paper that measures: 9 3/4 x 7 1/2 inches. 


As I said, the binding is very well made and the pages are sewn into the cover.  The cover is thick and this product is made in the USA.  They may have this product in college ruled, but I haven't seen it.  The ones we have been able to get in my area have only been in the wide ruled. 


There are some neat little facts on the inside cover such as:  Metric unit conversions, fractions, decimals and percentages,  multiplication charts,  a list of spelling rules and punctuation, a nice list of web references and research sites, and a place to record your class schedule. 

I don't think the pages are meant to be torn out.  I think this composition book would be best used for note taking, and a place to record information that you don't want to get lost, and to have it all in one area for reference.  I think it would make a great mini journal.    


We paid fifty cents per composition notebook.  I thought that was a great deal.  They come in a few different styles, but all were black and white on the outside cover.  I highly recommend them,  I think the price and quality is fair. If they don't already have them, I would like to see them in college ruled.  The wide ruled to me takes up too much space.
