Pros: Best of the less expensive home elliptical trainers
Cons: Not anything like the elliptical trainers you will find at the Gyms
The Bottom Line: Best of the cheap elliptical trainers. Not for beginners and people that are really out of shape.

| jbartlett's Full Review: NordicTrack CXT 990 |
I have owned my NordicTrack CXT 990 for about 6 months now. I paid $799 at the NordicTrack store, they had this machine on sale for about 2 weeks. I purchased the upgraded warranty for a total of 5 years and a total price of $975 (Check the store before buying online)
For an extra $89 NordicTrack has a wireless heart rate monitor ~ this should be included with the machine for no extra cost, ask for it.(this is now included in the newest models)
I bought this machine to do a cardio workout 3 times a week, and it does an adequate job. The built in programs are pretty good, you cannot program your own workout which is very disappointing.
The NordicTrack elliptical trainers are nothing like the more expensive models in the Gym. The NordicTrack is very jerky at high speeds. The different ramp settings are nice and help you get a varied workout. It does a good job at exercising your quadriceps but it feels like the machine will fly a part if you push it into the 2 upper training zones.
Go to a local NordicTrack store and try it out before you buy ~ bring your workout shoes etc., they are real nice about letting you test their equipment.
