A friend of mine had purchased the NordicTrack Model #EXP2000 about nine months ago and I have used it a couple of times and I have to say it is not the best treadmill I have ever used even though it is the most expensive one I have ever tried. My friend paid about $1200 for it and it was not worth it. The thing is not horrible but not worth the investment.
Features
The first thing that I did not really like about it was the noise that it made. It is important during the workout to have a piece of equipment which will not distract or take away the focus from your workout. The loud almost humming noise which came out of this one was not all that conducive to the runs that I had on it. It was like listening to a traffic jam on the street. It was distracting to me. Also, the size does not allow that much mobility of your machine. Once it is built, wherever you place it will be the spot it stays at unless a couple of people move it.
Another thing I did not really enjoy about the machine was the feel of it. It almost felt as though that the machine was not providing enough support while I ran on it. It was almost like running on concrete. The model I use normally takes the wear and tear off of my knees but the times I have used this machine my knees have hurt somewhat after the workout.
Some of the good features of the machine are the easy to use control panel. You can program whatever type of workout you wish with this model. Also good is the fact that you can look at your progress throughout the workout with the advance numerical displays which are available.
Nordic Track provide a good aerobic workout for the athlete looking to exercise. I would use it again at a health club but for a home purchase I would certainly have to pass on it.
