saulsse's Full Review: Symantec Norton AntiVirus 2003 Full Version for PC...
I am writing the review on the Norton Anti-Virus 2003 release.
The 2003 release of Norton's Anti-Virus has some functional improvements relating to configurtion and rapid registration of the software.
The 2003 version came pre-installed on a Dell Inspiron 8200 model laptop.
After initial setup and configuring my E-Mail on the laptop, it asked if I wanted to have it automaticly update the software when I went on-line. It has a setting to let you manually update the software as well.
If on the road with a laptop, you may want to leave it in the manual setting as the files can be large.
Update when you can connect to the Office or Home network via a Network Interface system.
On the yearly renewal side of things, if you have more than one Norton Anti-Virus program installed on different computers, i.e. I have Norton 2002 installed on a desktop, the subscription renewal date is in November; you will find that if you purchase and install Nortons Anti-Virus on another computer that utilizing your e-mail address for purposes of registering will cause the expiration to be set for the original first purchase.
I think Norton's would look into this issue with seperate software purchases, but then again it may be a good idea in itself as it would help alert you after you renew the subscription that it is time to update the other computers.
Epinions.com periodically updates pricing and product information from third-party sources, so some information may be slightly out-of-date. You should confirm all information before relying on it.
