OPI's Rapidry Top Coat has got to be one of the most amazing products I've ever used on my nails. No, scratch that. It is the most amazing product!

Just the Facts, Ma'am

OPI Rapidry Top Coat comes in a .5 oz glass bottle. While 1/2 an ounce may not sound like much of anything, this is the same size as OPI's Full Sized bottles of Nail Lacquer. OPI Rapidry Top Coat comes in one and only one shade, clear. (Like you'd want a colored top coat?!)

Ingredients: Ethyl Acetate, Isopropyl Alcohol, Cellulose Acetate Butyrate, Butyl Acetate, Propyl Acetate, Heptane, Acrylates, Copolymer, Sucrose Benzoate, Triphenyl Phosphate, Nitrocellulose, Etocrylene, Tosylamide/Epoxy Resin, Dibutyl Phthalate, Camphor, CI 60725 (Violet 2).

My experience

I honestly didn't know what to expect from this product. I was given a tiny little bottle of it "to try". Ha, ha. After my first use I ran right out and bought the big bottle!

So, there I was, painting my nails and I decided I ought to try this sample I was given. I mean, "Why not?" I had plenty of "Why not's?", trust me! What if it messed up the polish I'd just put on? I didn't have time to re do my nails if it messed them up. What if it left my nails feeling weird? My paranoia goes on, but I'll spare you.

I gave into myself and tried it. Supposedly, my nails would be dry in just minutes after using this product. Uh, okay. Whatever. I didn't trust it. So I sat there for 10 minutes. Of course, I had to "test" my nails after just 5. Oh my gosh! They really were dry. I mean totally dry. Not that, they-feel-dry-but-could-still-get-messed-up thing, but all the way dry. Dig your nails into the polish and it wouldn't do a thing! Wowie! I was so impressed!

This product not only dried my nails in no time at all, but it left my nails with a gorgeous glossy finish. It also allowed my polish to last me a week. Yes, one week! It seems to be a very tough top coat and maybe it's all in my head, but it seems my nails are stronger since using this product. [Note: I also started using a bast coat by Sally Hansen at the same time, so that may also be it.]

Application

To use OPI's Rapidry Top Coat, simply start with clean, dry nails. Apply a base coat, allow to dry (or whatever the bottle says). Then, apply one to two coats of your favorite nail polish - I highly recommend OPI's Nail Lacquer! Allow the polish to sit on your nails for a minute and then apply a coat of OPI Rapidry Top Coat. Sit still for a few minutes and you're set!

Recommend it? You betcha!

I really cannot recommend this product highly enough. If you use nail polish at all, I feel you would benefit greatly by adding a top coat of OPI's Rapidry Top Coat. My nails look and feel better, and best yet I never have to wait around for 30 - 60 "free" minutes to paint my nails. Now I can do it whenever because I know it will only take a few minutes!
