Healed My Splitting Skin!

Pros:Helps skin to repair itself; safe for diabetics.
Cons:Mild stinging for about a minute (which is normal).
The Bottom Line: This is a fantastic product for individuals who have painful skin cracks and splits on their hands and feet.
For several years, my fingertips would develop tiny, painful splits. Since I live in an extremely dry environment, dry, splitting skin is a year-round problem. Lotions and hand creams would neither heal nor prevent my skin from splitting. I would often apply an antibiotic ointment and bandages to my fingers but they would take 2-3 days to heal.

A few months ago, while standing at the counter of a local ranch supply store, I spotted the bright green containers of OKeefes Working Hands. The label stated that this hand cream is The leading skin therapy for people who work with their hands. It also claimed that it creates a microenvironment for damaged skin to repair itself and it is safe and effective for diabetics. Although the price was $6.49 for a small container of 3.4 ounces, I thought I would give it a try.
The directions stated that Working Hands works best if applied to damp skin. After I washed my hands, I opened the container and saw that the texture of the product looked similar to a thick, white icing. I used a finger and gathered up a small amount and began to smooth it onto my fingertips. Since my hands were damp, the product was easy to massage into the splits. Immediately, my splits began to sting but, according to the label, that was a normal reaction to the product. The mild stinging lasted about a minute. I also noticed that Working Hands was non-greasy and odor-free. During the day, I applied the product a couple of more times and then again at bedtime. The next morning, the splits were healed!
Now I use Working Hands once or twice a day and I no longer have a problem with splitting skin. During the summer, I also use it on my feet to prevent the skin on my heals from cracking. My husband works as an auto body technician and, since he began using Working Hands, he no longer has a problem with dry, cracked skin on his hands. Since Working Hands is concentrated, one small container will last us about three months. So, for about $2.00 per month, it is a good value for the money!
