Pros:The only thing that works for poison oak after exposure. We love it!
Cons:Hard to find, tends to be expensive.
The Bottom Line: If you are out in the woods, this is a must buy.
With 350 acres in Northern California, we get a lot of poison oak exposure. Tecnu is the only product we have found that works, even for the very sensitive. Best used as soon as possible after exposure, but helps even after break out. Hard to find and expensive, but worth the money and effort. Company also makes a pre-exposure product, Armor-all, which is effective, but I do not like the way it feels. I would recommend that only for the super-sensitive. We use it when we are out on fires with our volunteer fire department, along with the after-exposure soap. The anti-itch gel is good, too, and less messy than Calamine lotion.
