Pros: For shoes and feet, dries clear, keeps feet dry and fresh, concentrated, nice scent
Cons: Can be a bit damp and white but will dry clear, strong scent at first
I workout a lot and this past summer, I did NOT like the way my sneakers were smelling. I bought a can of Odor-Eaters Foot & Sneaker Spray Powder with Tolnaftate Antifungal Powder to see if that would freshen up my workout shoes and keep my feet odor free and dry. I like this spray. It can leave a temporary powdery residue on feet and in shoes if it isn't sprayed sparingly and quickly but it zaps odors nicely though.

This spray comes in a brightly colors green, orange, black, and white metal can with a green pump spray top and a green pull off lid. There is 4 ounces of product in the can. The scent is pretty strong at first but dries down to a pleasant scent. It's a powdery scent, almost like baby powder but a lot stronger. The spray goes on wet if you spray it too heavily or in one spot for more than the briefest time. However, it dries very quickly and clear.
I originally bought Odor-Eaters Foot & Sneaker Spray Powder to spray into my workout shoes. I didn't think I would use it directly on my feet as I shower right after I workout. The can needs a good shaking and then the spray will come out in a fine mist. It does leave a little bit of cloud of powder behind but one spray per shoe is all that I need. It freshens up my shoes fast.
I did note that the first few times I used the spray, it looked damp and white. I worried that my sneakers would be damaged but the spray dried clear and with no issues at all. Now I spray a lot less heavily and I barely see the powder and it's completely clear in seconds.
My workout shoes smelled much better after a shot of Odor-Eaters Foot & Sneaker Spray Powder and stayed that way for at least a few workouts. My feet were drier when I worked out too.
I decided one summer day, to spray the powder on my feet as well. it was a sticky, humid day and I was switching out of flats and into strappy sandals. I gave each sole a short spray and again, I saw a bit of white but it disappeared. My feet felt cool and fresh.
The powder didn't cause any issues like slipperiness or residue on my shoes. My feet were refreshed and cooled. They didn't sweat at all but I don't have huge issues with that unless I am working out hard.
I have never had athlete's foot or any other fungal issues with my feet but the claims are that this spray can ward off fungus and athlete's foot. I'm all for anything that is anti-fungal.
The can lasted quite a while with fairly frequent use and I replaced it it as soon as it did. I don't know if this spray is the best out there because it's the only one I have used but it seems to work well both in my shoes and directly on my feet so I really have no reason to shop around for another spray. The only con is that I have to wait a few moments for the dampness and/or whiteness to go away before I can put my shoes on if I spray it right on my feet.
You can purchase Odor-Eaters Foot & Sneaker Spray Powder at mass-market and drugstores on and offline for between $4.00 and $7.00 a can when not on sale. Compare prices because it seems the cost varies quite a bit depending on where you buy this spray.
My Final Thoughts
I like that Odor-Eaters Foot & Sneaker Spray Powder can be used in shoes and directly on my feet. The scent is powdery but refreshing and it does seem to eliminate odors, not just cover them up. If foot or shoe odor is an issue, this spray is a good one to try. It kills fungus that can lead to athlete's foot which is a bonus. 4 stars.
