Pros:Versatile game that can be played independently or with others. Great Price!
Cons:You might need ear plugs if your kids like to yell...OH RATS!

My 3 1/2 year old daughter loves her new "Oh Rats" game! All she knows is that it's fun, but what she doesn't know is that she's learning important color matching and pre-math skills at the same time. And let's not forget cooperation and learning to take turns. Stephanie was having some trouble learning her colors, and this game has been great for her.

What you get with the "Oh Rats" game from Discovery Toys is a box with four very sturdy puzzles depicting (I hate to even call them "rats" because they're so adorable!), rats in different outfits and scenes. One for instance is standing in the park holding a balloon in one hand and an ice cream cone in the other, and all are dressed in very colorful clothing from hats and bows down to shoes. The spinner for the game is a wedge of cheese with six colored circles on it. The pointer on the spinner is actually a free spinning "rat" who points with his finger to whatever color he lands on.

Game begins with all the pieces removed from the puzzles (Most pieces have punched out circles under them to make removal easy by just poking your finger from the back of the board). The first player spins and proceeds to place the piece of his puzzle on his board that corresponds to the color the rat's pointer landed on. This continues until a player spins a color that he already has placed in his puzzle. This is Stephanie's (my daughter's), favorite part...you yell "OH RATS". The first person to complete their puzzle wins.

The game can be played with up to four players, but sometimes my daughter likes to just play alone. She also uses the puzzles by themselves without the game. I think this makes for a very versatile product, and for under $10.00, you can't beat it for value.
