Being 39 (and a half) is very interesting. Mainly because I have to be in awe of how wonderfully fascinating Mother Nature is. She’s such a delightful entity, isn’t she? Bah!
A couple of years ago, I began to develop these lines of character, so to speak, mainly at the corners of my eyes. I’m lucky enough to have good genes, as far as aging gracefully goes, but I’m also smart enough to know when some help is needed to slow down the aging process. So I went in search for a product that would be light, fast absorbing, and wouldn’t make my sensitive skin break out.
I’ve always trusted Oil of Olay, because my Mother used it when I was growing up. So when I found the Olay Active Hydrating Beauty Fluid for Sensitive Skin, I knew I had to give it a go. Since I have sensitive skin, I am always a bit anxious when I try a new product. As soon as I returned home, I cleansed my skin, patted it dry, and opened up that little white bottle…
What’s My Story?
I purchased the 4-ounce bottle for $7.99, but it also comes in a larger bottle size, 6 ounces. The white, plastic bottle has a black, screw-type cap. When the cap is removed, just give the bottle a squeeze and the beauty fluid comes out of an opening for easy application. The first thing I noticed is that the Olay Active Hydrating Beauty Fluid is fragrance free and has no color added. The fluid is a soft, creamy white shade and it felt very light on my fingertips. I put a drop on the back of my hand and rubbed it in. It absorbed very quickly and I didn’t feel any greasy residue left over on my skin. I waited for about 30 minutes to see if my skin would turn red or if I would have some kind of itchy problem, but it never happened. Yay! So I got braver and tried it on my face…
I squeezed a drop of the Olay Active Hydrating Beauty Fluid onto my fingertip and applied it to the area around my eyes. Within seconds, it had been absorbed and my skin felt moisturized. So I applied it again with the same results but decided to stop there because I didn’t want to over-do it. But one thing was clear: my skin felt softer and more pliant, which was a huge relief.
My daily routine is to gently cleanse my skin and then I apply the Olay Active Hydrating Beauty Fluid to my eye area, forehead, and upper cheeks. These are, for now, my trouble areas for dry skin and using the product has been extremely helpful.
As much as I enjoy nice-smelling beauty products, I am very glad that the Olay Active Hydrating Beauty Fluid is fragrance free. It has absolutely no scent, not even a "clean" scent. It’s just 100% beauty fluid and that’s it.

Final Thoughts…
After having used Oil of Olay Sensitive Skin active Hydrating Beauty Fluid for a couple of years now, I can tell you that my skin is feeling wonderful. Nothing can stop Mother Nature from doing her best to give you some "character", but I believe that Oil of Olay is a good daily defense. It has never caused a breakout and it feels so light on the skin that you won’t believe you even have it on.
My husband, who is by far the manliest man that I know, relented to me using this around his eyes many months ago. He spends much of his time outside and before we were married, he didn’t do much with his skin except to keep it clean. Time and the elements have added deeper lines around his eyes and as much as he protests about my using a "beauty fluid" on his face, I think deep down he just likes the attention, and I’m happy to do it!
