I have been using Oil of Olay products for about 3 years, having bought the first product just because i liked the little jar that the night cream comes in - the one with the black lid. I liked to apply it around my eyes, and enjoyed the cooling smoothness on my skin. It is not the least expensive product on the market, and I have tried the Suave products, Pond's, and Avon, but find that I like the way that Oil of Olay smooths into the skin, not leaving the white lotion that refuses to "rub in" -

I now use the lotion during the day, and still use the night cream, but have started using a different product around my eyes, "Pond's revitalift-eyes" i like the softness more, and the Olay Night Cream is thicker, and pulls the skin around my eyes a little more, than the Pond's.

I do like the day cream - I use it in the morning, applying it right after washing my face - I don't wear much makeup, but when I was working full time, I would apply my makeup right over it. It disappears into my skin completely, and leaves my skin feeling cool, refreshed, and smoother than before applying it.

As to whether it "erases" or "eliminates" fine lines or other signs of aging, I don't know if there is anything shy of plastic surgery that actually gets rid of tiny wrinkles on the face...however, the Oil of Olay does cool the skin slightly, so I "think" it feels tighter, and smoother.

I pour a dime-size spot on the palm of my hand, then rub my hands together, and apply it to my face - massaging it over my face, and across my neck. Whatever is left on my hands gets rubbed in quickly, leaving my hands also feeling softer -

One thing I have found, and maybe it's just me, but especially in the summer, I find myself washing my face more often, and applying it again during the day a few times. It is so nicely cooling on my skin, sometimes I just close my eyes, and feel the coolness on my skin, savoring it.

The Olay products (all of them, I think) also have UV protection added, which also adds a protective layer to your skin, and hopefully prevents harmful rays from the sun, as it moisturizes, and cools your skin.

One of the reasons I "came back" to the Olay products, was that the scent of the Olay is more subtle, and doesn't smell like lotion, but rather has a lighter less distinguishable scent that disappears within minutes. I already wear a scent, and do not care to have it mingled with the scent of my face cream, especially the heavier fruity scent of some of the other products.

Along with the "real" reasons I like the product, the bottles still look nice on my bathroom counter - light pink, clean-looking. It was why I started buying a face cream to begin with, before I even needed one, and I find I still like that reason.

I recommend the product, and not just for women over 40 - keeping your skin soft and hydrated is something that should begin much earlier - so even if you are in your 20's, with skin that is creamy and soft - it is good to protect it, and prolong that softness as much as possible.
