Pros: convenient, great for travel
Cons: irritates eyes, difficult to rinse with cloth, one isn't always enough
The Bottom Line: I would only use this for travel convenience, and even then I wouldn't let it get anywhere near my eyes.

| bad_seed's Full Review: Olay Daily Facials |
I saw commercials for this product for several weeks, and was intrigued by the concept of "one-step" facial cleansing. A product that could remove all makeup, including mascara as well as foundation, is a great idea - especially for girls who do a lot of traveling and don't want to be bothered with taking makeup remover AND cleanser AND toner along on trips. So, when I saw this product in stores I decided to give it a try.
My first comment would have to address the commercial's claim that using the cleansing cloth is like getting a facial. I don't know where they get their facials, but whoever's doing them must be doing a pretty shoddy job if the experience can be recreated with this product. Girls, be realistic... the only way you're going to feel as if you had a facial is if you go to the salon and get one, or do it yourself at home using more than a five by five inch glorified paper towel that foams when you add water.
Also, for a product whose main appeal is that it removes ALL of your makeup, even eye makeup, it sure does hurt when you get this stuff in your eyes. If anyone can devise a way to use this to remove your mascara without the cloth making contact with your eyes, please let me know.
The product is also pretty small. As mentioned above, one of these facial cloths measures approximately five by five inches. The sudsiness wears out fairly quickly, and I've had trouble getting all of my makeup off before I run out of cleanser. Think about this: by the time you rub a 5 by 5 cloth over half your face, it's full of makeup. You can't rinse the makeup out of it without also rinsing out all the cleanser. You can't clean the other half of your face with it without rubbing the makeup that's already on the cloth all over the rest of your face. How effective is that? It's like pouring foundation into your hand, adding soap, and trying to clean your skin.
Amazingly, I do have one good thing to say about this product. It's very convenient for travel. The cloths come in their own little plastic box, which takes up less room in your suitcase than all of your regular cleansing products combined would. When you're done, you just toss it out (I flush mine, but I don't know if you're really supposed to do that). I will probably keep using them for quick trips and overnights with the boyfriend, but once they're all gone I don't think I'll buy any more.
