Pros: Pump style bottle, dermatologist tested
Cons: Everything else
The Bottom Line: This product did not live up to my expectations and I can’t recommend it. It is drying and doesn't foam like it says it does. It is tested on animals.

I dont like this product. I was very surprised that I didnt. I bought Olay Foaming Face Wash for 2 reasons:
1. I love my Oil of Olay moisturizer.
2. Most people on epinions who have reviewed it have recommended it.
I may have been biased because I had been using Eucerin Gently Hydrating Cleanser and loved it. I went out on a limb when I changed brands and I will not be buying Oil of Olay foaming face wash again.
What I dont like about Olay Foaming Face Wash:
1. It comes out thick and in gel form. I prefer the feeling of a creamy face wash that is soft and smooth in my hands. Olay face wash has a strange texture and look to it.
2. It doesnt have a bad odor; in fact it says it is fragrance and color free. It is color free; it almost looks clear. The lack of any fragrance makes it smell medicinal for some reason. I have used products that are fragrance free and are still pleasant smelling.
3. It is called foaming face wash but nothing about it foams. It does rub into lather if you use enough of it but it doesnt foam.
4. The bottle says it deep cleans and I do not doubt that. I dont wear a lot of makeup and it does the job on my face but no better than any other product I have used.
5. It is tested on animals. (The Eucerin is also but at least I like it!)
6. The bottle says contains oil free moisturizers and helps your skin retain its own natural moisture. After I use it my face feels dry and tight. I cant wait to moisturize.
What I like:
1. It has a pump, plastic bottle which is convenient except for traveling. I cant figure out how to travel with a pump and not have it pump out on everything.
2. It is dermatologist tested.
3. It is 100% fragrance and color free. (A mixed blessing.)
The ingredients are: water, glycerin, sodium myristoyl, sarcosinate, PEG-120, methyl glucose dioleate and a few similar sounding ingredients. After the first 5 or 6 ingredients in any product you get small amounts of them. So I have names the ingredients which are the largest amounts.
In summary, this product did not live up to my expectations and I cant recommend it. Buy the Eucerin gentle hydrating cleanser (not listed so I cant review it) if you are looking for a nice product. The price is $7.99 for 8-ounces versus $5.99 for 6.78-ounces of Olay's foaming wash.
