As I approach my 28th birthday I have come to accept the fact that my skin is going to age faster than average, just like my mother's skin did. The major cause for my premature wrinkling is that I have been a huge sun worshiper ever since I was a youngster. While those times in the sun were a blast, those good times in the skin damaging sun have now come back to bite me in the butt, just like I was warned they would by both my Mom and my dermatologist. Other than some minor side effects from the Olay Restoration Treatment, I have been very pleased with Olay's Total Effects skin care line. I have used Total Effects 7X Visible Anti-Aging Vitamin Complex With SPF for a few months now and have noticed a significant change in the appearance of my skin.
The Product:
Olay Total Effects 7X is a moisturizer that is designed to fight aging of the face and neck without irritating the skin. Instead of using Pro Retinol, a common ingredient found in many anti-wrinkle creams (also known as Vitamin A) which can irritate the skin, Olay Total Effects 7X uses VitaNiacin which contains vitamin E, Pro-Vitamin B5, and Vitamin B3. Olay Total Effects 7X is available in either a 1.7 oz. tube or a 3.4 oz tube (3.4 oz. tube lasts me 16 weeks when used once in the morning) that is dispensed via an easy to use pump cap. This formula is dermatologist tested, non-comedogenic (won't clog pores), color and fragrance free, oil free, and fast absorbing
Olay's Claims:
Olay claims that with daily use this product will help fight the 7 signs of aging. This means with regular use Olay Total Effects 7X will diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, Smooth out skin texture, even out skin tone, improve skin dullness, minimize large pores, visibly reduce blotches and age spots, and help heal dry cracked skin. Olay also claims that this product contains an UVA/UVB broad-spectrum protection with a SPF rating of 15.
My Experience:
As I have mentioned in many of my product reviews, I have very sensitive skin. Sensitive skin is probably one of the worst problems to encounter when fighting the signs of age. This is a problem due to one major reason; there are only a limited amount of products designed for sensitive skin on the market. Olay 7X, though not designed specifically for sensitive skin, has been one of the best non prescription anti wrinkle creams I have used that failed to irritate my sensitive facial skin.
When I first starting using Olay 7X moisturizer the first major difference that I noticed was a softening of my skin, especially the skin around my cheeks and forehead. My skin felt years younger with just 3 days of treatment. While the texture of my skin almost immediately improved after the first application, I had to wait a bit longer to see results in the wrinkle improvement department. About 3 weeks after using Olay 7X I definitely had a decrease in the amount of fine lines around my eyes and mouth. Almost a month after my initial treatment I actually started to get compliments on my skin (this never happens).
In addition to having sensitive skin I also have large pores, especially around my nose and a mild case of acne. I still break out with pimples from time to time, however Olay 7X definitely lives up to it's claims when it says it diminishes the appearance of large pores and even has helped reduce the appearance of some of the minor acne scars that I had on both my face and neck.
Other than those anti wrinkles creams that contain irritating ingredients, one of my biggest complaints with anti-wrinkle creams is that greasy feeling that is sometimes left behind after use. OLay Total Effects 7X leaves absolutely no greasy feeling or greasy appearance after application; no matter how much you apply to the face. This not only makes the skin appear healthier but also makes applying make-up a breeze.

Olay Total Effects 7X Visible Anti-Aging Vitamin Complex With UV Protection can be purchased at almost any drug, large discount or department store in the 1.7 oz. tube for about $20.00. I purchase this product in the 3.4 Oz. bottle which I have only been able to find at Costco. My local Costco sells the 3.4 Oz. bottle for only $30.000 which amounts to about a $10.00 savings over the 1.7 oz. bottle.

Final Thoughts:
Olay Total Effects 7X Visible Anti-Aging Vitamin Complex With UV Protection has been very helpful providing me with younger looking skin without the pain of many anti-wrinkle creams. My recommendation for this product go out to anyone who is looking for a good moisturizer/ anti-wrinkle cream without having to break the bank. I have found that Olay Total Effects 7X works just as well as department store brands at only a fraction of the price.
