Nice review, Phil (Reply to this comment)

I like these sorts of places too. Riga and Stockholm have open air ethnographic museums that sound similar to this place.

After reading my review of Columbia State Historic Park, I'll bet you already guessed that I would love a place like this.
But you overlooked one critical detail for me. Does it have any ghosts?

What a great review! I'm a little embarrassed that I didn't know this place existed, especially with my love of history and restored villages! And Long Island is an important place for some of my ancestors (discovered with intense genealogy work.) Thank you for writing this and letting me learn about it. I'll be sending you email about your Gettysburg comments so I don't take this comment off-topic.

Been here a few times for the fairs and on class trips. There's another thing to add to my list should I ever win powerball, donate money to Old Bethpage...
Great review!

I've been to Williamsburg and Sturbridge Village but never knew Old Bethpage Village Restoration existed. I will have to look into it further for a fun day trip.

...on one of those nighttime lantern walks! Here in Harpers Ferry, WV we celebrate 'Old Time' Christmas in a similar way.
Great review!

Mornin' Phil! (Reply to this comment)

Hey, this sounds like an interesting place to visit if I ever get up there in your neck of the woods. I do have to ask....
They always sing "Dashing through the snow" as first written and sung in the 1800s. The "Jingle Bells " part is somewhat different than how we sing it today.
Is it anything similar to Skeeters' version? Hehehe...
You have a great day, Guy!!
