Pros: Safe! (& small enough for easy transport)
Cons: Kinda slow!
The Bottom Line: It's an excellent vessel - great price, nice size, quite stable - if you don't expect to race along the water.

| whitebirch's Full Review: Old Town Canoe Otter |
I bought one on sale last summer (came with some straps, etc.). Who'd think you could buy a little "boat" for $250? It's not too heavy - I can carry it a ways & I'm a female (5'2"!), even if it is somewhat awkward. It might not move along real fast in the water, but it feels very safe & stable...even to me, & I'm not a swimmer. Would've been nice to have some of the straps I've seen that come with other comparable kayaks, but when I bring something along (like a camera), I just bring some sort of plastic or "dry" bag. For portability, I bought a 4-piece paddle set (that fits in a fairly small sized net & nylon bag).
