Thank you for your kind words. I'm trying to iron out the organization and presentation a little better, it's kind of all over the place right now.
To everybody who reads the whole thing, thanks for sticking with it.

Well, your concerns are not unfounded. I can see CA on-screen in strongly back-lit full-resolution (5MP) jpgs, but, honestly, I can't see it in the 4"X6" prints I have professionally printed at a camera store. I haven't printed at any larger sizes. I am not a professional photographer or printer, so I can't say even this with any authority.
I have printed some photos directly from the camera, and I have slightly enhanced contrast and saturation (but nothing else) in PhotoShop before printing some others. I have not fully come to terms with the C-5050's on-board sharpness, contrast, and saturation adjustments, so I don't yet know if these same things can be taken care of in the camera.
As I learn more about this camera, I will try to revise this review. Right now, I'm trying to get rid of typos and other mistakes.
Hope this helps, and please feel free to email or post more comments -- though I am not sure that I can answer them, the questions help me learn more about the camera and digital photography in general.

I have been looking at the 5050 for a while...it appears to be a great camera that will not quickly go obsolete, and will alow people to have lots of options with their picture taking. Several concerns, however:
I hear alot concerning aberration with this lens. What's your thought on that?
Some cameras take pictures that need to be edited before being printed. Is this the type of camera that allows you to take a picture and print it out without having to spend time fixing it with an image editor, or will most pictures need some type of editing. For example, will I have to fix the CA or purple fringing on most pictures, or is that only in selected occasions, perhaps when magnifying/cropping the picture.
