I have owned this camera for about 6 months now and I like it better every day.  I just got back from Europe and was absolutely amazed at how long the battery lasted and just how much I came to depend on the 7x optical zoom.  I finally figured out how to use the exposure feature and I really like it a lot.  It allows you to see on the display exactly how your photo will turn out using different exposure settings that are presented as a group of thumbnail views on the display.  It is small enough that I actually carry it with me and it fits in my pocket.  There are smaller cameras, and some offer more features, but the 7x optical zoom sets this one apart.

My only complaints are that the camera could use better image stabilization under low light conditions and that the selected exposure setting for a particular photo has to be manually reset to default after you finish with the shot.  Of course, if you're taking abunch of photos under a specific lighting condition, that may be a bonus.  I just prefer to deviate from the default exposure on every shot.
