| Twix109's Full Review: Omaha Steaks Bag Hot & Spicy Buffalo Chicken Wings... |
I love buffalo wings. When I was at East Stroudsburg U, every thirsty Thursday I went to 25 cent wing night at a local bar and got about 15 hot wings with extra hot sauce and ranch dressing on the side. Boy, do I miss college. Since I’m home, I needed a quick fix and Omaha Steaks Buffalo Wings seemed like the trick.
About
Everything from Omaha Steaks comes frozen in cardboard boxes. Approximately 35 wings come into a big clear plastic bag. The wings equal 3 pounds. They claim to be hot and spicy. The bag is not resealable so you will need a rubber band or bag clip. You can see the wings are big and plump. They are frozen, but as soon as I see them I start to drool. You can get them online or at Omaha Steaks stores for anywhere from $19.99-24.99 depending on when they are on sale.
Preparation Instructions
You do not need to thaw the wings. This makes for a quick & easy meal or appetizer. There are two cooking methods. You can microwave the wings, or put them in the oven.
If you choose to microwave: Place 8 frozen buffalo chicken wings on a microwave safe plate; cover with a paper towel. Microwave on high for 3 minutes. Flip over wings and heat on high for an additional 1-2 minutes. Let set one minute before serving. If you choose to bake: Preheat oven to 350°F. Spread frozen buffalo chicken wings on a foil lined baking sheet, leaving space between each piece. Bake for 25-30 minutes. Serve.
I have used both methods of cooking the wings. Of course I rather stick them in the oven because the skin tastes a little better and they are more heated through, but for a quick fix and quick meal, 3 minutes in the microwave is simple. This is a quick meal & great for parties & company.

Experience
Whenever I have wings, I gear my plate up with extra hot sauce, ranch dressing, and celery. The hotter the wings, the better I like them.
When the wings come out of the oven or microwave, I usually let them sit a minute before stuffing my face because they are usually very hot. Each wing has a lot of meat on them. The meat is very tender. The wing has a crispy coating, but not too thick, and not too thin. The hot sauce coating is what I would consider mild. The wings definitely have a kick to them, but leave me wanting a little more. I have a high tolerance for spicy food, so sometimes I’ll add a little Tabasco sauce. Since the wings are big and have an ample amount of meat on them, about 9-12 wings fill me up nicely.
My mom and I usually make these during one of our little craving sessions and she described the Omaha Steaks Buffalo Wings in NJ housewife terms. “The wings are delicious and juicy and have just enough heat. They are filling and great for guests.”
So, forget spending money at wing nights and purchasing hot wings from catering companies. Crank up your oven, throw these on a baking sheet, and enjoy the hot, spicy, meat-packed, thick, wings that your friends and family will go crazy over.
5 stars.
Thanks for the read,
Danielle
