It's MUCH cheaper at Wal-Mart: (Reply to this comment)

NOTE: I just purchased (for $58.94) the essentially identical "HEM-780REL" ("Wal-Mart" version). It's made by Omron for Wal-Mart and, accordingly, bears Wal-Mart's "ReliOn" logo in large print while nonetheless bearing the words "manufactured by OmRom" in tiny print on both the unit and the product box. It also has some trivially different coloration on its front plastic (i.e., the "frame" surrounding the LCD display is more of a darker, "masculine" blue instead of the pale, "feminine/baby" blue of the "Omron-logo" version pictured here). Bottom line: it's actually the very same unit, YET it only costs $58.94 at Wal-Mart, whether via their web site or their bricks-and-mortar stores. I concur with the reviewer here that this is one excellent unit. I've had absolutely no trouble with mine so far. It seems slightly more accurate than my aging (1997) "AND" (logo) manual-inflation unit that I still own and that I previously reviewed at Epinions. I hope soon to post my own review of this great "HEM-780" unit, which, by the way, appears to be in the process of being replaced by an entirely different-looking "780" unit that is even pricier yet has (virtually) no feature that this "older" version doesn't already include, with the exception that the latest version includes the ability to "average" your three most recent BP readings. (Heck, I can do that easily anyway with my computer-spreadsheet software, where I generally record and date my BP readings.) Hope this information helps somebody. Thanks for your helpful review!

Remember, too, for some strange reason, just going to the doctor seems to elevate blood pressure. We call it the white coat shock!

So glad this worked well and that everything turned out ok. The baby is adorable and I hope you're enjoying yourself!

Thanks,

Lorace

April babies are Aries, my sign and my eldest son's. Precious photo you have posted.

Luckily I have never had high BP - I only weighed 3 pounds at birth - my Mother had Toxemia and I had to be in an incubator for 6 weeks.

....like a good blood pressure cuff and the fact that it so closely mirrored your doctors readings must have been comforting too.

A little pricey...but hey your mom wanted to take care of her daughter and grandson. :)

Oh, he is gorgeous...so glad that you were able to add the new picture. Congratulations again. ....Make it a great day....kath
