I've never seen that - though I don't doubt for a second that the scenery was more advantageously used. Maybe it's because it's an Irish film - what's novel to us might be commonplace for them and not really worthy of lavish cinematography.

While there are some very nice shots of the rugged Irish coastline, most of the film looks more generic than it should
No matter how nice, I'm sure it's chicken feed compared to the ravishing Irish-coastline shots in David Lean's 1970 216-minute "Ryan's Daughter", which I finally watched in one sitting today.
