Plot Details: This opinion reveals minor details about the movie''s plot.
This is quite possibly the worst movie to come out of Hollywood this new century. I wouldn't watch this movie again if someone paid me to show up at the video store.
Although it comes across with a half-way decent story line,it falls short of $7.00 for a movie ticket.
The girls and I decided at the last minute to top off the day's escapades by watching a movie. Wondering how bad any movie could be with Omar Sharif and Peter O'Toole, we decided that "One Night with the King" might be interesting. After gawking for the first 10 minutes at how poorly edited this flic is,we sat dumbfounded at just how bad the acting was. Then the music kicked in, and we laughed for the next two and half very-long hours.
This movie feels like a made-for-television movie series with a high school theatrical troupe in the cast. When I couldn't help myself from laughing, I noticed that some of the other movie watchers were annoyed by my behavior. Which only fueled me into further hysterics. It certainly didn't help when my other two girlfriends started making fun of it too. Now, keep in mind, how funny this must have seemed. In the middle, is my prissy easily embarrassed best friend and my brassy red-headed best friend -- whose cynicism and sense of humor surpasses my own.
If you want to sit around with a few friends, drink a nominal amount of alcohol, this movie might be snarky enough to make the night interesting. But, if you are a true Hollywood-epic fan and lover of movies -- then you might want to spend your time watching something else.
