Pros: Full Bodied Sound, Package price.
Cons: Large speakers, Lacks a DVD player.
The Bottom Line: If you're more concerned about how a systems sounds rather than how it looks, then this would be the best package deal around.

| jaminlogic's Full Review: Onkyo HT-S650 Theater System |
After much research, I decided on the HTS 650 for it's value. At just under $500, this system can fill a fairly large room with full, rich sound. The satellites are rather large, and could pose a problem when trying to mount them in a discreet fashion. The sub pumps adequate bass, but didn't quite measure to my liking, compared with others of the same driver size. The receiver has more than the basic features built in, and can accomodate most home theater setups. The remote is rather small, and takes time to get familiarized with. All in all, you shouldn't be dissapointed with the HTS 650, even though it lacks a DVD player. For the price tag, you'll be hard pressed to find a better sounding package system.
