Re: How does SR-600 stand before Denon AVR-1803? (Reply to this comment)
by neilkn
The Denon 1803 won out in our opinion. And we have been extremely happy with our Denon since day 1. On a side note, a friend had an older HK which broke down, an internal fuse blown. It spent over a month in the HK repair center, was returned to him, only to break again with a week's use. Sending it back in, it was replaced with the 225, but again took a few weeks before the determination to replace it completely was made. He was out of a unit to use for a few months overall. Nice of them to replace it with a newer model than he had, but a lengthy process.

How does SR-600 stand before Denon AVR-1803? (Reply to this comment)
by gottum_m
That was an excellent comparison with the HK-225. I am planning to upgrade my home theatre from a Pioneer to an up-scale receiver and was considering Yamaha, Harmon Kardon, Onkyo, and Denon. I found Yamaha and HK to be lot more expensive for similar features. I am now thinking of Obkyo SR-600 or Denon AVR-1803. You did not mention anything about Denon in your review. Did you find something wrong with Denon during your research?
Thanks

Re: Very Good but one possible omission (Reply to this comment)
by Absolut
This is true. However, A/B speakers is not considered a second zone because it still part of themain amplifier. NOtice that if you are running a DVD in Dolby Digital and switch on the B channel, you lose your back speakers and in effect losing the Dolby Digital. Is this waht you meant?

Very Good but one possible omission (Reply to this comment)

An excellent review. We are extremely happy with our new Onkyo TX-SR600 Receiver. The one omission is that the TX-SR600 does have a built-in second zone for two front speakers in another room and the option to enable A, B, or both A & B speakers.
