I love shopping at Ulta cosmetic stores, especially when they are giving away freebies. A while ago they were giving away little make up bags filled with sample products, with a minimum purchase. The minimum purchase was I think $17.00 one of the products I purchsaed was the Opi Ulta Twinkled Pink Nail Polish Nail Lacquer.
Opi Ulta Twinkled Pink Nail Polish Nail Lacquer
The full sized bottle of Ulta Nail Lacquer is a .5 oz sized bottle. The bottle is made of glass, and it is in kind in a square shape with rounded edges and a flat bottom. The lid is a plastic twist off lid. The brush is short, it is an OK brush, but is not a high quality brush. The regular price for a bottle is $5.00 but it goes on sale very often.
It is a high gloss lacquer it goes on really, really shinny. It also claims to be chip resistant.
The Twinkled Pink color is a kind of a dull light pink color. It is a good color for those who like a pink color but like to stay a bit more on the natural side. But while the coloring is not too over bearing it does make your nails shine very nicely.
I have had better nail polishes and I have definitely had much worse. This one lies somewhere in the middle in my opinion, the fact that it dries really quickly is really a plus and at the sale price of $2.00
Ulta Nail Lacquer comes in 22 different colors. They range from bold colors like the Pink Lady to more neutral colors, and some deep colors. You won't find any colors like blue, or green, or anything like though.
Thoughts and Experience
The lacquer went on quite thin with the first application and I could see through it. But with a light second coat it covered quite nicely. It has a really nice shine to it. It also dried a lot quicker than expected so that was a pleasant surprise. It also went on fairly neatly and only a tiny bit got on my fingers. I have done much worse with nail polish.
The polish stayed on nicely for a couple of days but started to chip by day 3. But it chipped slowly after that. So I would not say it is chip resistant, but it is slow to chip. It never did all chip away, I had to remove the left over polish with nail polish remover.
The best thing I can say about the polish is that it has a really nice shine. Coverage is not great on the first go round but it looks really nice after a second coat. If you like a shiny nail polish that dries really quickly you will certainly enjoy Ulta Nail Lacquer.
