Pros: Takes away the pain and irritation.
Cons: Doesn't last too long. Pain is back in no time.
The Bottom Line: I would recommend this product to anyone who is in dental distress! Can't hurt any worse than it already does, so go find your relief in a tube of Orajel.

| RCarte2000's Full Review: Orajel Toothache Maximum Strength |
Doesn't matter what I do or how many times I brush my teeth, I end up with a bad tooth. It usually happens in the middle of the night or whenever I can't get a dentist on the phone! Grrr!
I've tried everything over the counter to make the pain go away. Anbesol is what I used to use but it just does nothing, absolutely nothing for me. I have used Orajel Regular Strength and it helps to a point. Man, was I glad to see Orajel Maximum Strength!
Orajel Maximum Strength can't touch the novacaine or benzocaine at the dentist's office, but the numbing ingredient in it does provide some relief, even if temporary. It's better than suffering and crying out in pain til the next day, or through a weekend.
Orajel can be found almost anywhere. Department stores, drug stores, even small convenience stores and gas stations carry it. Of course, where you get it influences the price you pay. I generally pay close to $5 per box. The smaller the retailer, the closer you will pay to $10. Sad, isn't it?
Orajel is easy to apply. Just locate the troublesome tooth or teeth (poor soul). Cut the tip off of the tube of Orajel. Apply a small drop to fingertip or Q-Tip (whichever is easier to reach the tooth or teeth) and rub it on. They don't recommend swallowing any of it, so spitting the excess in the sink is probably a good idea. Be sure not to get too much, because you'll end up spitting most of it out.
Next time you have a bothersome tooth or teeth and it's after hours at the Dental Clinic, take a short drive to your nearest drug store and such. Find where toothpaste and toothcare items are sold and find the Orajel Maximum Strength. You'll get through the night and/or weekend and your nerves will thank you for it.
