I have a tube of this at work , one in my bedroom and one in my purse. I always try to have this handy in case my tooth starts to bother me.
I have no dental insurance and I am holding off as long as I can to go to the dentist to have the tooth pulled.
I am so glad that there is a product like this. Whenever my tooth starts to bother me really bad I take a q tip and dab some of this on the area around the tooth and then on the tooth itself.
Since the tooth is in the back it makes the inside cheek of my moth feel numb , but I don't care. When you are in pain from a tooth ache you don't care what it makes numb as long as it eases the pain .
This hurts when you first put it on the tooth but then it kind of numbs it and the surrounding area.
It is a gel and you can either put it on your finger and dab it on or put it on a q-tip. Depending on what tooth and what area of the mouth the aching tooth is in. If you use your fingers to apply this, always make sure that you have clean hands.
You are suppose to Apply a thin layer and allow it to sit on the tooth or affected area for one minute and then spit out.
The active ingredients in it are Benzocaine and Alcohol. It sez not to use for more then 7 days unless directed by a dentist or doctor. If swelling or fever develop you should go and see a dentist immediately.
You should not use the product if you have a history of allergies to local anesthetics . You should not use this product under dentures either.
This provides temporary relief from toothache and minor moth and lip sores. I have only used it for tooth aches and I know that it does provide some relief.
I would recommend this to anyone that has problems with tooth pain. I think that it is a good idea to always have some of this with you or near you . You never know when the problem can pop up again.

I have found that if you put it on the area that hurts and then wait a minute and apply another layer it numbs the area pretty good.
It is terrible tasting stuff but well worth the displeasure if alleviates the tooth or mouth pain for you.
The new gel seems to work better then these products use to since it sticks to the area longer.
I would highly recommend this to anyone that has tooth problems.
