I’m kind of addicted to dental floss.  I’ve tried numerous types and brands, and some are definitely better than others.  I like this tape from Oral B.

Oral B Complete SatinTape is a wide dental tape infused with a minty flavor.  This dental tape helps remove plaque and food particles between teeth and just below the gum line.  Dental tape is slightly wider and flatter than dental floss, and in my experience works better at thoroughly cleaning my teeth.

This apparently is not a waxed tape, as I see no mention of that on the packaging.  You get 27.3 yards of tape in the container for about $3.69.  The plastic container that holds the roll of tape has a flip-up lid that covers the exposed tape.  It features an ordinary type metal cutter that also holds the end of the tape.  The sides of the container have molded finger grips, which I guess is nice, but not really necessary. 

This is easy to find in drugstores and other retailers.

~ My Experience
 
Oral B SatinTape Mint kind of comes off the roll in a jerky way where I have to kind of pull on it, but in the big picture of dental floss this isn’t an issue.  The cutter works as intended with no problems. 

This tape is flat and wide, unlike dental floss that is stringy and more rounded.  I have very tight teeth, yet I can get this dental tape between my teeth just fine.  The flat tape seems to scrub between my teeth more than ordinary dental floss does.

The minty taste is immediately apparent and does freshen my mouth and breath after using, which I really like. 

Although this isn’t a waxed tape, it seems to glide fairly smoothly between my teeth with little resistance.  It doesn’t catch on my dental work, and isn’t prone to shredding, which can be a nasty experience.  I do have a spot where dental floss and tape sometimes will catch, but so far this hasn’t been a problem with Oral Be StatinTape. 

The container is small yet sturdy, and easily fits into purse or travel bag.  The lid stays firmly closed, and in fact can sometimes be difficult to open.

~ Final Thoughts
 
Oral B SatinTape Mint is an excellent dental tape that cleans and scrubs between my teeth and leaves my mouth minty fresh.  It doesn’t stick or shred, and glides nicely even between my tightly spaced teeth.  I will definitely repurchase.
