Pros: I got mine for free! Great smell and color
Cons: dry! very dry!
The Bottom Line: Buy it! The cost isn't bad since the lipstick lasts for such a long time. Even with a bit of dryness, the good outweigh the bad.

My sister and I were spending a day at the mall when we were stopped by a salesman in Dillard's. As I grumbled under my breath, irritated by being caught by a sales person, I listened to her spill. The Origin's counter was giving away free tubes of lipstick-IF you purchased just 25 dollars of their product. Hmmm, I decided to browse the area and see what interested me. Although I didn't find 25$ worth of things I needed at the time,(can you believe it??) the girl convinced me to make a small purchase and she would give me the lipstick anyway! When I climbed into my sisters vehicle outside I instantly pulled out my prized free lipstick and smeared it on my lips.
The coverage of this lipstick is absolutely wonderful! I didn't have to smear on a thick layer of lipstick like you have to do with some. One even swipe across my lips and I was good to go. I was liking this already.
An instant scent of spearmint lifted my senses! Don't you just hate it when lipstick has a perfumey scent? I know I do. The smell of spearmint that comes from this lipstick is the best. I think it lifts my spirits (or at least clears my nose, lol).
The color lasted all day and looked great. I went about a normal day and the color never faded, feathered or stain. Drinks from a glass didn't budge this lipstick. What more could a girl want? The pink shimmery color was a great neutral tone and not overbearing.
But the downside of the lipstick was it's dryness. I know I can't always have it all, but the dryness is very obvious to me with Origins Lasting Lip Color. I suppose this is why it seems to last for such a long period of time. Now, after using the lipstick for more than 2 months, I have a tendency to smear a little scentless lipgloss over my lips, to avoid the terrible dry feeling.
Even at $12 a tube, Origins is worth it! Try this lipstick sometime when you have the chance. The scent is wonderful and the colors are great. I think a tube of this could possible last 3 months with daily use. That's just $4 a month. That's not so bad! Next time your at the mall and looking for a little fun pick me up, grab a tube of Origins Lasting Color and give it a try yourself. The spearmint scent will have you smiling in no time!
