i LIKE Liquid Clay (Reply to this comment)
by beenough
Uh. Both my boyfriend and I use this product and LOVE it. I first bought it for him because it can be used for both the body and the face, and he's a no fuss what is going on my face is going on my body sort of guy. The smell...it smells like FRENCH GREEN CLAY, which is what does that wonderful job you talk about. I don't love love the scent, but I wouldn't not use it over the scent. I think people are just too used to the fake perfume #5 to make it smell like vanilla fake smells out there sometimes. If you think this smells like dirt, you should smell a-a mud mask and b-any aveda sap moss product. now THAT smells like dirt. I was compelled to post because I can see this review has influenced some people, and I just wanted them to hear the other side.
And, it comes in a value size. Can't resist getting five times as much at $27.50 But if you didn't like it, I also use Get Down from Origins. It has white china clay instead of french green clay. You might like that better?
As you can tell, I am a big Origins person, hehe.

Great review (Reply to this comment)

I tried an origins product a few years ago BE (before epinions) and my skin had a horrible reaction to it. So I returned it and have never used them since. Every once in a while, I read a review here that makes me want to go out and try them again. This wasn't one of them! Thanks for the heads up on this stuff.
Also, thank you for adding me to your WOT! That is a great honor!

However, I read your comment about the liquid clay smelling like dirt, so ran off to take a whiff of my red clay masque from a spa I go to frequently, and phew, it doesn't smell like dirt.
Anyway, thanks for the great review. Guess I'll stick with this! I always worry someone will come to the door though!

offensive smell AND stringy consistency, it's not everyday a gal can find that in a beauty product.
Great review -

Melissa! I didn't realize you were a fellow oil slick . . . (Reply to this comment)

I am going to have to bookmark your reviews since I suffer from amazingly oily skin. And even some adult acne at age 34. :-(
Since I love all things new and helpful but am on a strict budget, and I really have liked some of Origins stuff in the past, I'm glad to hear details that will prevent me from spending my pennies while unemployed on this product!!!
You do a great review.
