Pros: Quick-drying. Clear. Easy application. Sucks up oil.
Cons: Drying. It's $10 for .3 fl. oz.!
The Bottom Line: Overall so-so performance...but I'd say give it a shot. The bottle actually goes a long way. Should be used only on v. mild acne breakouts. Too expensive.

| mattyd5's Full Review: Origins Spot Remover |
According to WebMD, about 80% of people experience some sort of acne sometime in their life.
*Sigh*
Naturally, we, the majority, seek aid from prescription and over-the-counter meds to combat and try to stop these nasty little villains from infiltrating our faces. There are mounds and mounds of meds to choose from, but whether they work or not is a different story.
My Story
I guess I should tell you that I've had a decent amount of experience in this, er, field. I relied on prescription meds when things were a bit, ahem, messy (lol), but now that things have more or less cleared up, I use over-the-counter meds to control my breakouts.
I bought Origins Spot Remover after reading the complimentary reviews here...and after noticing the "enemy lines" building up their "artillery." (Haha)
Effectiveness:Does It Work???
Yes and no. I've applied it to The Big Ones and the feeble, just forming ones and have found that the Spot Remover doesn't do much for the big ones, but does stunt the growth of the really tiny, weak ones. That is, pre-existing zits won't suddenly melt away as a result of applying the Spot Remover. If you apply it to potential zits VERY EARLY in the game, however, they will be stopped. Being a former acne victim, I've done my share of research on these cruel, resilient animals, and there is one bit of info I should share w/ you all: Zits will grow no matter how much you wash/disinfect your face! This is due in part from the amounts of hormones your body secretes. Few are lucky enough to have dodged this bullet, while for most of us we continue to wonder, WHEN WILL THE MADNESS EVER END??? :p
@ any rate, I've read that many current users find the Spot Remover to be drying and that the product should be used solely as a, er, spot remover. :p I've discovered that if you apply a light moisturizer on your face before you dab on the med, the drying is dramatically reduced, if not nonexistent. I do suggest, however, to pass on the lotion for the re-occurring/Is-It-Really-Dead? zits (you get ultimate destruction effects that way!). W/ the lotion already on your face, I found that if you dab the Spot Remover on your acne-prone areas w/ your finger, it will also prevent future breakouts (as much as it can prevent that is), or @ least make them few and far in-between... it sucks up all the oil in the area like you don't even know!
Warnings
~ It stings, especially when applied onto broken skin. I guess the only good thing about the stinging is that you @ least know that it's getting in there and going to work.
~ This gel-like substance also dries quick, so don't rub it in too much - little rolled-up white bits of it will begin to form if you do.
~ It has an alcohol scent so don't apply it near your eyes -it will make you tear!
~ Don't lose it! This squeeze bottle is incredibly small..and clear! I always put it back in its box just in case.
~ It's TEN DOLLARS!
