For the past 6 months or so, I have been using many high quality Origins skin care products with wonderful results. My face is very oily, so this Earth friendly company has many cleansers and treatments designed specifically for my current needs. I've used both Origins A Perfect World White Tea Skin Guardian (which is designed for ALL skin types, by the way) and Origins Matte Scientist to improve the overall appearance of my skin and to provide the light yet oil controlling moisturizing my particular skin type requires. So when Origins began offering Starter Sets containing 3 skin care products best suited for each skin type (oily, dry, combination, and sensitive) for only $20 online, I was ready to order! Not only was I getting more of the products I currently love and use daily, this also provided the ideal opportunity to try out their Origins Mint Wash cleanser at the same time. What a fabulous idea! Now new as well as returning customers can sample great skin care products at an affordable price to see what does and does not work for them without fear of wasting their hard earned cash on potentially disappointing or ineffective choices.
~~~The Starter Set~~~
My Origins Starter Set for Oily Skin included three smaller versions of popular skin care products offered in their oily line as mentioned above. First of all, I got a .5 ounce (15 ml) pump style portion of Origins A Perfect World White Tea Skin Guardian designed to create smoother and more youthful looking skin, which is worth $15 all by itself as the full sized 1 ounce version costs a whopping $30! Secondly, I pulled out a green tinted plastic bottle of Origins Matte Scientist in the 1 ounce (30 ml) size which provides the light oil-controlling moisture even those with oily skin types require. And finally, I received a 1.7 ounce (50 ml) clear plastic bottle of green tinted Origins Mint Wash to effectively cleanse while removing excess dirt and oil from the skin. All of these items were included in a light blue cardboard box and make up this Origins Starter Set for Oily Skin.
~~~Origins A Perfect World White Tea Skin Guardian~~~
A super skin care product that may be used by ALL skin types, this Origins A Perfect World White Tea Skin Guardian (regular sized 1 ounce pump is $30) helps to defend stressed out skin against the visible signs of the aging process while leaving it smooth and beautifully soft. It contains powerful antioxidants that keep the skin looking healthy and more youthful. After cleansing with Origins Mint Wash, apply a very thin layer of this luxurious gel-like cream to the face to defend skin from looking older before its time. The fresh citrus-like scent is refreshing yet not overpowering. This stuff is amazing! I was SURE I'd get hundreds of extra zits after using A Perfect World but I have not. Since this skin guardian does not clog pores, even oily skin types can benefit from it's almost magic-like properties. Follow with the new Make A Difference anti-aging treatment if desired and/or a light moisturizer such as Origins Matte Scientist, which is also included in the Origins Starter Set for Oily Skin.

Once my face is clean and has a thin layer of A Perfect World applied to it, using a light oil-controlling moisturizer such as Origins Matte Scientist (regular sized 1.7 ounce green glass bottle is $18.50) is a must, even for the oiliest of skin types like myself. For years I just wrongly assumed that using moisturizers would only make my oily skin type worse and produce even more breakouts, yet I have now realized that stripping my face of needed moisture with harsh cleansers only makes my oil glands produce MORE grease instead of less. Containing Salicylic Acid to gently exfoliate and other ingredients that provide the essential hydration my skin truly needs, this Eucalyptus scented skin care product is one of my favorite daily staples now. For I truly see significantly less shine on my face as the day goes by. It is no surprise to me that this excellent choice was selected from many other products in the Origins "oily" line to be contained in the Origins Starter Set for Oily Skin.
~~~Origins Mint Wash~~~
One of the newest Origins products I have tried recently is this Origins Mint Wash (regular sized 6.7 ounce clear plastic bottle is $16.50) facial cleanser. This cooling gel that lathers clean provides the effective oil removing cleansing that we "oily" girls require. While a weekly or bi-weekly deep pore cleanser may also be needed for those with large pore issues to prevent breakout caused by clogged pores, this concentrated clear green tinted gel leaves the skin refreshing clean and free of surface oil, dirt, and even make-up. The scent is far from minty even though this cleanser contains Peppermint and Spearmint. A little bit goes a long way, so this small trial sized version should last for several months of daily use easily when you purchase an Origins Starter Set for Oily Skin.
~~~Why Purchase A Starter Set?~~~
If you were to purchase these three fantastic skin care products separately in their full-sized portions instead of giving this Origins Starter Set for Oily Skin a try first, the total cost would be $65.00! That is ALOT of money to pay for skin care items you may or may not like once you've had a chance to try them out. Sure, sometimes generous Origins skin care consultants give out free samples to shoppers looking for new products to try, but this doesn't always happen. Unlike samples, however, you actually get several months worth of use out of these smaller sized items, so your $20 will go a long way. And if you already use one or more of these three fine oily choices and want to try one or more of the others but are hesitant to purchase the full-sized bottles before being absolutely sure, then once again, this starter set would be the way to go! I am very pleased with my Origins Starter Set for Oily Skin and plan on purchasing another one soon in the very near future.

Whether you are brand new to Origins or have been a regular, satisfied customer for a long time, this Origins Starter Set for Oily Skin containing three super skin care products is a great value no matter how you look at it. What an affordable way to pick up smaller versions of your current favorites or to give new items a try without worrying about spending a large amount of money on things that may not work well for you. These smaller bottles are GREAT for travel and are constructed of durable plastic materials whereas some of the regular sized choices come in breakable glass bottles that you probably want to leave at home. So give this highly recommended Origins Starter Set for Oily Skin a try today and be prepared to see smoother, noticeably younger looking skin with fewer blemishes and less oily shine in no time at all.
