The first time I ever head of Origin’s Ginger Souffle whipped body cream was when Oprah talked about it being one of her favorite things on her show. Of course, I immediately had to search for it and see what the hype was all about.

Once I was able to locate it inside of Marshall Field’s in Chicago (now Macy’s) I immediately became hooked. The smell is so enticing and so intoxicating you just have to have it. I ended up buying quite a few things on my first visit. I not only bought the whipped body cream but I bought the Ginger Essence perfume and exfoliating soap. My favorite product though is the Souffle (whipped body cream). I like it because the smell is so enveloping --I liken it to a piece of lemon drop hard candy. It smells slightly sweet yet it yet it heightens all of your senses.

Speaking of senses the consistency of the product is absolutely wonderful. It is light and airy--like butter. It applies like silk. I applies the best over damp skin so that you get the full moisturizing effect, but I have applied it to my dry skin in the winter and that worked great too. I love doing this from time to time because the smell alone is a great pick me up and always leaves me in a good state of mind.

Once again, the great Oprah was right. The product is not cheap but it is well worth it.
