You gotta love idiots like this guy who NH a well written opinion because they disagree with the author.
And what does he know anyway. I make my living doing networking, and Win Proxy is pretty much as weak of a product as there is out there on the market.
Enjoyed your opinion,
Keep it up,
Stephen

WinProxy's Documentation Great and Easy to Use (Reply to this comment)
by clsjames
Looks like you overlooked the documentation. The cd does ship with a Quick Start Guide to get you started which can also be downloaded online. However, there is also a very comprehensive 250 page manual that is on the cd and available online free for download at http://www3.winproxy.com/support3/downloads/30usermanual.zip
It includes everything from how to setup your LAN to expert configuration of ports.
There is also a technical support database online at http://www.winproxy.com that has a tremendous amount of information available.
I have a home network running including a dial-up server and everything is fine. It did take me a bit of work to get my network configured properly, but once I fixed my LAN, WinProxy has worked flawlessly. Everytime I had a question, I just checked the online tech support database and sure enough, the answer was there.
The program itself was very easy to setup and install, in fact I even moved it from one system to another with a deinstall and everything worked as documented. Since it uses dynamic addressing, there is no software to install on the clients, just on the server. It makes it really easy to use since you only have to install it in one place and the whole network picks it up.
