When my older toaster oven finally gave up the ghost, I went out looking for a new one since I use them often. I looked at several models, but finally decided on the Oster Model TSSTTVMNDG.

The Oster 6-Slice Digital Counter Top Toaster Oven, I bought at Walmart since I was already there for other goods, and I paid around $80 for it. They had several different models to choose from, but I picked this one because it would fit my 13 x 9 inch lasagna pan, as well as 6 slices of bubbly cheese toast, or sugary sweet cinnamon toast. I also liked it's push button controls which were very different from the dials on the toaster I replaced this one with. Some of the others I looked at didn't have this feature. (A note about a 13" x 9" pan: Mine has small handles, sticking out about 1 & 1/2 inches away from the body of the pan. This will not fit a pan that has really large handles. My pan slides right in with ease, but a pan with 2 & 1/2 inch or larger sized handles would not fit.)
It's sort of cute in its design and was one of the nicer looking models I looked at. It is black in color, but has a silver frame along the front, as well as a silver handle. There is a black handled crumb tray inside that slides out from the front and rests on the bottom to catch crumbs or spills. It comes out easily to be cleaned or wiped off. There are what appears to be four metal rods inside and these heat up tremendously hot to cook the food.
The Oster Toaster Oven comes with a removable wire rack that can be placed in two positions, a black baking pan, and a wire broiling rack. I use the broiling rack sometimes for cooking something like fish sticks because with them not laying on the pan (which I place the broiling rack in) they come out crispier.
There are several control buttons on the face of the toaster oven. The very first thing I was prompted to do when I plugged it in the first time (by the way, this has a short 18" cord) is to set the time. It was really easy to do by using the "Time + & - " buttons as well as the "Start" button to log in my selection. I loved having a clock, but, it restarts when I unplug it, which is often, so I don't bother with it anymore. There is a control button for Pizza, which will cook for 20 minutes at 400 degrees (though, the time can be changed by using the "Time" buttons. The temp cannot be changed), a Toast button that is auto-set on 4 minutes (but it can also be changed), a Defrost button, and a Warm button. The Warm button is for reheating foods or keeping foods warm and works so great and reheating leftover lasagna or pizza that was in the fridge.
The other buttons are for Baking, Convection Baking, & Broiling. The temps and times can be changed on these, and can be started or stopped at any time by pressing the "Start" & "Stop" buttons.
My favorite button is the "Light" button. There is a glass window on the front of the oven so that I may see in, and the "Light" button will turn on a light inside there, so I can see how my food is coming along while cooking. I love the light because instead of opening the toaster oven up to check on cookies that are baking, I can just press a button and be able to see whether they are browned or not, from the outside, or I can tell if cheese is bubbly on a lasagna.. My older oven lacked this model, and it's a feature I've always wanted.
My older toaster oven did this too (but my oven does not), but this toaster oven will turn off once the timer has gone off. It has an annoying single-beep timer that will go off every few seconds, but I can hear it from another room, so I'm glad of that. And, at least I do not have to babysit my food while it cooks.
One thing that I find a little off-putting is that it leans forward slightly. I ended up setting a couple of Ball jar lid seals underneath the legs to steady it. The lean isn't an issue when cooking something like a pizza, or toast, or anything like that, but it made cake batter shift to the front slightly, causing me to have to cut off more than usual of the cake. Do understand when I say "slightly" however, I mean just that. It is about a half an inch in difference. If you're not picky like I am, you probably will not even notice. Another thing that this toaster does not do (that my old one did) is it will not cut off or pause cooking if the door is opened. It's not a major issue with me, but just thought I'd mention it.
Still, the toaster oven cooks great whether it's heating a 9 to 12 inch pizza, or a roast with trimmings. The Convection Bake works well and cooks the food more evenly (and faster, too, so I need set the timer lower), and it cleans really easily using only a damp cloth (can use mild soapy water, but nothing else, i.e. no chemicals). It's also affordable, costing only $10 more than a 4 Slice Oster model I saw next to it in the stores. So, because I love mine so much, I would recommend it to anyone.
