| rsh101's Full Review: Outback Steakhouse |
My husband was the first person to ever take me to Out Back Steakhouse. I'm not even sure how long the place had been there but I had just noticed it a couple of weeks before. I always like to try new places to eat so one night we just decided that that was the night to do it. Was I disappointed about our decision? Read on and find out!
Atmosphere
You obviously are going to notice what the place looks like when you first go in the door. Well when we first walked into this particular Out Back, I immediately felt relaxed and almost at home. The lights were somewhat low, like if you'd be there with a date but not so low that it would be strange for families. All of the table, chairs and booths are wooden which to me just feels kind of homey. And being the slightly overweight person that I am I didn't have to worry about not having enough room when I sat down either. It was just perfect. They do have some music playing softly in the background. I couldn't tell you what kind because I was too caught up with my husband but it was nice music.
Service
Next, of coarse come the part of the evening when you meet your waiter or waitress. Ours come over to us almost as soon as we sat down. He gave us our menus and let us go ahead and order drinks while we looked over the menu. This I think is particularly important. Ordering the drink to have while looking at the menu. I think I might drink(tea or Coke, not alcohol)more than anyone when I eat so this is just strangely important to me. Anyway, our waiter brought our drinks and left us alone again to peruse the wonderful array of dishes they have. Now I was afraid that he would be gone forever because this is always happening to me. They'll say they'll give you a minute but it usually seems like they're gone an hour. But this guy was only gone around five minutes or so. Not long at all. He was very polite, filled our drinks when they were around half full(which is just perfect to me, not too often and not too scarce) and was just very cheery.
And now....the Food
Ah, the food. Now here is a great subject when it comes to Out Back. The only thing I've ever ordered there was the steak. The seasoning is great. Not too powerful and not too weak. And it's always cooked just right!! I'm very picky when it comes to steak and beef in general. I have to have it just so and the cooks at Out Back outdid anywhere I'd ever been.
Of coarse, they do have chicken and different kinds of vegetable to go with the meats. They cook some tasty veggies too. And the Bloomin' Onion appetizer is my very most favorite!! Okay so it is heartburn city but to me it's worth it.
The Finale
Everyone should try the Out Back at least once. That's all it takes to get hooked!
