This is another good product from OXO. This is a pizza slicer wheel and it works very well.
How it works
It is basically a metal wheel with a handle attached. The metal wheel is the blade and although it is not very sharp it does cut pizza well. Just don’t expect it to cut without sufficient force from the user.
Ergonomics
This is what OXO is known for and this tool is no exception. The handle is large and made entirely of rubber. This makes it a very comfortable tool to use. It is easy to grasp and hold.
Durability
Other than the rubber handle coming off, there is no other damage to it. It almost works as well as the first day we got it (I think it may have dulled slightly but it really isn’t a problem.) The problem with the handle coming off is it retains water. When I was finishing up this review I removed the handle to check it out. Well I proceeded to get water all over me, but it was only 4 ounces (about) so it was no big deal.
Cleaning and dishwasher usage.
I am not about to clean this by hand, so it always gets put in the dishwasher. The dishwasher does a great job of cleaning this unit. But I think the reason the handle is coming off is because I am using the dishwasher.
I did not find it difficult to clean by hand. Just be mindful of the wheel.
Tips
In order to reduce the chance the cheese and toppings will stick to the blade you need to cut the pizza very quickly. A fast motion across the pizza will make the cuts much cleaner and gives cheese less of a chance to stick to the wheel. In addition, you should also put a good deal of pressure on the blade, otherwise you may need to run over it a few times to completely cut the crust. It does not cut the pizza by itself.
In addition, I recommend putting the pizza on a stable surface like a large cutting board; this will make it a lot easier to cut the pizza.

Summary
This is a comfortable and easy to use pizza cutter. If you do not like cutting pizza with a knife then this is a must have item. This tool is also one of the more comfortable tools to use. The large rubber handle makes all the difference. OXO is known for their handles and quality tools. My only issue is that the rubber handle is not securely attached and can come off. But even with that issue I still recommend it.
