The Bottom Line: It turns the foods I cook without dropping them or melting. Oxo is a brand I trust.

After so many years of using the same old spatula (lovingly known as my pancake flipper), I decided I wanted a new one. I really didn’t need one but when I bought my Oxo pizza wheel, I saw something that begged, “Please take me home.” So, naturally, I did.
What I like about the OXO large nylon flexible turner:
From “flipper” to handle it’s about 13-inches long.
It weighs about 2 pounds so it’s no lightweight in the kitchen.
It has a large nylon head for those large burgers, fish fillets, omelets (and more).
It withstands heat up to 400°F
It won’t scratch your non-stick cookware.
It has a non-slip handle.
It is dishwasher safe.
This turner has every feature you’d want in a spatula.
In my review of the OXO pizza cutter, you’ll notice that I said that handle was made using Santoprene® - a soft rubberized substance made especially for Oxo. Well, the Flexible Nylon Turner is no different. This handle is so comfortable if feels as if it is conforming to your own hand.
One of the things I like especially about the flexibility of the turning head is that when I need that extra bend to get under the food, I have that availability. The turner can contort to your need.
I know this might sound crazy but you know me, I’m going to say it anyway. One feature I like that is rarely mentioned is the double wired handle. It fits snuggle in the one rubberized handle and spread out to both sides of the nylon turner. When I place my turner in the dishwasher, I can fit the double wired handle over the separators. This insures that the force of the water won’t knock it off the rack. Just a bit of convenience, I’ve found.
Another convenience is the hole in the handle. Should you want to hang this on a hook or a peg with your other Oxo tools, you can. Or, you can toss it in the utility drawer like I do.
Either way, the Oxo Large Nylon Flexible Turner (spatula, to me) is a great tool to have around.
