Pros: Odorless, tasteless, simple to use.
Cons: None, really.
Oxyfresh is a tasteless and odorless liquid that you put into your pet's drinking water to help kill bacteria and freshen their breath. Oxyfresh is great because it doesn't just mask pet mouth odors, it helps give them a healthier mouth! It is safe for them to consume on a regular basis and will not deter them from drinking water since it has no flavor. It's super easy to use, a lot easier than trying to brush your dog or cat's teeth! Of course all veterinarians recommend daily tooth brushing, but when your little Princess the killer chihuahua or Hissy the kitty cat will have nothing to do with it, Oxyfresh it a big help.
Oxyfresh contains their own "Oxygene" which is labeled as Stabilized Chlorine Dioxide which is what works the magic in your pet's mouth. Killing that stinky bacteria also gives them a healthier mouth, which is a plus.
Directions: Add one Teaspoon (5mL) per 1 quart of water. Every time they drink, it makes their mouthes healthier!
Cost: 4 oz bottle is about $6.00 and a 16 oz bottle is about $20.00 available at veterinary clinics.
The only problem I run into is the fact that my cat prefers toilet water. As gross as it seems, she will hardly drink from a water dish, even when it is fresh. And I don't really want to put Oxyfresh into my toilet ever time I flush, it's just kind of weird (and is a waste).
Oxyfresh is a great idea, but can get expensive if you have multiple pets, especially big dogs, so it may not work for everyone. However, you don't use much in the water, so that is a plus.
