good value, missing some nice-to-have features

Pros:Stylish design; reads DVDs well; responsive to remote
 Cons:no screen saver when paused; no "time remaining" display; remote has no volume control

I bought this to replace an APEX DVD player that was having trouble reading some DVD. This player read those same DVDs without issue. 2 years of technology advancement helped.

I don't yet have a HDTV so I can't speak to compatibility on that score.
