A very functional compass

Pros: Works well in vehicle, mostly accurate
Cons: Once in awhile it may display incorrect direction
The Bottom Line: I will give it a thumbs up. It "has" worked well for me. It is just what I wanted. Something that works.

I bought this compass several weeks ago because I wanted one that I could hopefully rely on when needed. Compared to the less expensive ones I had tried in the past I find it to work all in all pretty well. It did require that I try to get it programmed a few times but that may have been because I may not have driven in a circular motion as much as an oval type circle which may have contributed to the need for more than one attempt. Once you have it properly programmed, it works well. There are times I find it may not show the proper direction or so I am thinking but that does not happen that often and it may also be that the unit is displaying a direction that is more accurate than the driver may realize as one goes down the road. I have found that the unit may drop out of its holder but once you have it set properly and just leave it in it's place that is not as likely. For me at least, this has been up to this point a good purchase.
