| DiscoFro's Full Review: PNY Verto GeForce2 MX400, (64 MB) AGP Video Card |
I purchased this card after I acquired a copy of C&C: Renegade, and realized that my old voodoo3 card was in fact old. Not wanting to spend much money, I started scraping towards the bottom of the barrel in video cards.
What I found was in fact not a piece of garbage that would barely run what I needed. It turned out to be much more than I expected.
The card is a 64mb monster. In computer terms, 64 megabytes dedicated strictly to video is an incredible amount.
In reference to older games, I used this card with Deus Ex, which was released in 2000, and I Was able to use it in the highest possible res (1280x740) with not the smallest amount of stickiness.
Although it is important to mention that this cards max resolution is upwards to 2080x1024, but I am yet to try it.
All in all, this is a cost-effective solution for a high performance game system.
