Pros: Your skin; your way! Beautiful, smooth coverage.
Cons: Pricey (but well worth it) no SPF protection
The Bottom Line: Prescriptives custom foundation is clearly the best foundation I've ever tried, and I've tried several. I highly recommend it to all ages. 5 stars for this foundation!

| Suzer's Full Review: Prescriptives Custom Blend Foundation - Vellum |
Isn't it frustrating trying to find just the right color foundation that will beautifully meet the needs of your skin? Well, I certainly thought so. I went to several cosmetic counters trying to find the right shade, but the shade I used to purchase was no longer available and none was close enough to really give me the look I want. Prescriptives had almost the right shade, but as they say, no cigar. Too dark doesn't cut it; nor does too light. Silly me, I wanted it to blend in beautifully.
To my amazement, they told me they could formulate just the right foundation for me with my desires/needs met. I wanted coverage that was medium, was good for shall-we-say, somewhat aging skin, yet it tends to be very oily around the t-zone, that would be beautifully matched to my coloring including my undertones. My coloring is between ivory and light, so it can be tricky. It firms, has no ashiness, is nice and creamy, and even has a little shimmer. Zip, zero, zilch foundation line at my jawline either!
All of us are different of course, but this foundation wears all day long and they can blend it for you if you are the palest of the pale, have a rich dark coloring, or are in the middle. So, even if you have hard-to-match coloring, or have various and sundry skin needs, this is the foundation for you.
So what am I getting for my money?
Look no further than Prescriptives Custom Blend Foundation. They not only give you a good sized bottle, they also give you a little travel bottle, and an extra plastic container of any leftover foundation. That is a lot of foundation, and goes a long way!
So what's the downside?:
The only negatives here are that it is a tad pricey at $62.00. But if you are similar to me, you could purchase several bottles of foundation, with none of them matching to your satisfaction, and what does that ultimately cost you? Exactly!
Additionally the FDA doesn't allow them to put SPF 15 protection in the foundation.
Suzi's bottom line (bottom line; not bottom-you guys!):
In my opinion, the pluses way outweight the negatives. I can wear my usual Olay Sensitive formula moisturizer with sunscreen underneath, so that takes care of that little problem. As far as the cost, well when I ordered it last it was almost a year ago, so it goes a long way! Ultimately it is very cost effective.
Most importantly, this is the best foundation I have ever used in my life. How is that for a strong statement? I also have received more compliments on my uh, naturally gorgeous skin (ha ha) when wearing this foundation than any previous foundations.
So, my suggestion is that you go to your closest Prescriptives counter, let them know what your needs are, coloring, geared toward your age group, perfect shade, perfect amount of coverage, light, medium or heavy, hypoallergenic, etc. and give this gorgeous foundation a chance.
I just placed my second order. It is well-worth the expense. At least it is to me! This is the only foundation I've found that truly excites me.
You want more you say?:
Well, if this isn't enough, and price is not an issue, Prescriptives also offers custom blended concealer, lip gloss, lipstick, loose and pressed powder, loose and pressed bronzer.
Now it is your turn to have a big smile on your seemingly perfect face (skin)!
Thanks for reading!
